Whenever visiting the mountains it is always important to check current weather updates. Weather and other variables can affect the operations of the lifts. Below are answers to Frequently Asked Questions as well as other bits of information we hope will enhance your visit to Mt Baldy.

General Questions:

What are the current days and hours you are open?

We are currently operating on our winter schedule:

  • Open 8 am 6 days a week – Closed Wednesday
    • Lift 1 – Last ride up at 4 pm
    • Lift 2 – Last ride up at 4:30 pm
    • Lift 3 – Last ride up at 4:15 pm
    • Lift 4 – Last ride up at 3:45 pm
    • Tubing – Session check-ins available according to online purchase times

Hours are subject to change. Check the mountain report for the most up-to-date operating status and changes to regular operating hours.

Where are the restrooms?

Restrooms are located at the bottom of chair #1 and also in the Top of the Notch.

Are there lockers to rent?

Lockers are currently not available.

Where do I park and is there a fee?

Daily self-parking is available for a fee in our main lot located at:
8401 Mt. Baldy Rd, Mt Baldy, CA 91759

Fees: $10 Day, $50 Annual Parking Pass. No charge with valid Forest Adventure Pass. Overnight parking or camping is not permitted in our parking lot. Tent Cabin guests and or other authorized vehicles displaying a valid Overnight Parking pass are exempt from restriction.

Can I fly my drone at the resort?

No, out of concern for the safety of our guests, employees, and resort property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, Mt Baldy Ski Lifts Inc prohibits the operation or use of UAS (unmanned aerial systems commonly referred to as drones) by the general public – including recreational users, hobbyists, or for any commercial use. Drone use is permitted only upon obtaining written authorization from Management. This prohibition includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone used by media or journalists operating above or within the Mt Baldy Ski Lifts Inc boundary. Violation of this policy may result in loss of lift privileges and/or prosecution under applicable law. Please contact a resort representative in Administration if you have any questions.

Scenic Lift Ride:

How long is the Scenic lift ride and how many people can ride together?

The Scenic lift ride is approx 18-20 minutes each way. Each chair sits 2 people.

How do I buy tickets and how much do they cost?

We recommend purchasing tickets on our website for the best deal. Online prices do change but are typically 10-20% lower than our walk up window price. Purchase Now.

Walk-Up Window Rates Round Trip:

Window Rates One-Way:

Are there any physical or mental requirements to ride the lift?

Guests interested in riding the lift should be capable of understanding specific loading/ unloading instructions. And be physically and mentally capable of sitting on the chairlift under their own volition for at least 25 min and be able to get on and off the lift under their own power. Anyone with known medical conditions that might compromise the guest’s ability to safely stay on the chair (such as seizures, psychiatric disorders, history of heart or vascular disease or strokes) should consider another activity at the resort.

Can children ride the lift?

Children must be 40″ or more to ride the lift. Children under age 12 should ride with someone 14 years or older. Actual loading and unloading decisions are made by the on duty lift operator

Can my pet ride the lift?

Animals are not permitted on the chair lift. However, dogs are allowed within our permitted area. Dogs must be mild tempered and must not pose a threat to Mt Baldy Ski Lifts personnel or customers.

Vouchers:

How do I redeem an expired groupon or travelzoo voucher?

After the expiry date listed on your voucher, you are no longer able to redeem it for its promotional value (advertised value). However, the amount you paid for the voucher, called face value or base value, never expires. For example, if you paid $10 originally for your promo package, the expired voucher is still valid for $10 and can be used as a credit toward the full price of the product or service so that no money is actually lost.

To redeem and use as credit, just bring the expired voucher to our resort. We will apply the credit for you. Be sure to bring all codes, value amounts and expiration dates with you and provide them to the cashier.

Our daily hours of operation are:

Friday: 2pm-5pm
Saturday: 8am-5pm
Sunday: 8am-4pm
Monday: 8am-12:30pm.

Note: Resort Hours are subject to change. Moonlight Hike and Special ticketed events have extended hours for specific dates. Please see events page for details.

Do I need to make a reservation?

No. Reservations are not required.
