Expect scattered snow showers on the mountain today with day time high temps in the 40s and dipping down into the low 20s this afternoon as the bulk of a fast moving heavy storm moves into the area. Forecasts are calling for several inches of snow above 6500ft - 8" to 17" with snow levels dropping down as low as 3000ft overnight into Saturday. Forecasts are all in a agreement for the most part that most of the precipitation should happen by at least mid day Saturday. As a result expect a delay in opening Saturday morning. We'll know what operations on Christmas Day will look like after the storm clears on Saturday. In the mean time time pray for lots of snow and see you on the mountain.
Expect delays in operations this morning due to high winds. The forecast calls for winds to dissipate through the first half of the day. Clear skies are on tap thru the first half of the week with temps in the mid 50’s. Once this wind event is behind us we anticipate some excellent spring style conditions.
See you on the mountain.
