Sunny skies on the mountain today with a mild northeast wind and a day time high getting into the 50’s.  We will be open for scenic rides to the Top of the Notch restaurant, snow tubing, skiing & snowboarding on lifts #2 & #3. Mid week has been a great time to get up on the mountain and this Monday through Friday will be no different. We are expecting small crowds with beach type sunny and warm weather. Lift #1 is open for scenic rides only. Lift #2 has good coverage and is groomed nightly. Look for much of Lift #3 to soften up before mid day with the warm weather and groomers on Toilet Bowl and Bonanza. Be on the look out for obstacles sticking up in the runs and bare spots, however the snow conditions should be ripping and lots of those obstacles will be fun to jib. Models are now coming closer into agreement that the large system forecast for the west coast this weekend will be making its way to Southern California. We expect forecasters to begin predicting storm totals over the next day or so. Keep your fingers crossed. See you on the mountain.
Expect clear skies for the next few days before the weather is forecast to get serious Thursday evening. North east winds should top out at 30 mph today and continue to diminish after and thru the first half of the week. Temps will be in the mid 50’s with just the right amount of cooling each night to make for some great spring corn conditions late in the morning. Stay off the west an north facing exposures they will more than likely stay firm.
See you on the mountain.
