Mountain Report: January 11, 2016

Over the last 24 hours we have been receiving sleeting rain/snow and have accumulated about an inch. The forecast however is calling for temps to begin to drop tonight as another wave of precipitation is anticipated to arrive and be with us through for the next 24 + hours. With this next front most models are pointing at a plummeting snow level which is a big sigh of relief considering the warm nature of the last couple systems to move through Southern California. Forecasts are calling for anywhere from 4″ to 8″ (NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard) of snow to 5″ to 15″ (NWS San Diego) in the San Gabriel Mountains. We will be closed again Thursday as we wait and see what materializes

This Martin Luther King Weekend the forecast is calling for beautiful weather. The mountain should be nice and white with fresh snow. If your planning on visiting us come early. We anticipate sell out crowds.

See you on the mountain.
