Happy New Year! Expect a chilly one on the mountain today with clear skies and day time high temps to reach the mid 30's with a stiff off shore wind throughout most of the day. With wind chill factors expect it to feel well below freezing. Dress warm and be prepared. We will be operating for scenic rides to the Top of the Notch restaurant, snow tubing and the mini terrain park on Lift #2 through Sunday when the fun begins. Long range forecasts are calling for the 'Flood Gates to Open' after the weekend. We are expecting a series of systems to begin moving through Southern California Sunday night bringing big surf to the coast, rain to the valley and of course we hope lots snow to the mountains. These systems are still a little ways out and we will be updating with forecast updates as we get closer to show time. However with the current status of the storms we have made the call to close Monday & Tuesday while they blow through and hope that they deliver so we can get open for some long awaited shreeeeaaadinnnggg! See you on the mountain.
Beat the heat in the valley and come shredding. Clear skies soft snow and mild winds. Temps are forecast in the mid 60’s today making for another epic spring day. All the usual runs on Thunder are groomed and everything is soft.
