Winter with COVID-19

As we embark on a winter season with global concern about the spread of COVID-19 there are many questions regarding what to expect this season. Your crew at Mt Baldy Resort has worked hard to stay in operation amidst the pandemic.  Reopening efforts last Spring, as well as Summer operations have been conducted to a level of excellence & friendliness that has become commonplace at Mt Baldy Resorts. As we move towards another season we are confident that we will be delivering the goods, as always. Here is what to expect this season.

Book in Advance

  • Online purchase of lift tickets, lessons, rentals or snow tubing packages are required no less than 24 hours in advance
  • Capacities have been reduced to accommodate physical distancing
  • Snow Tubing and Scenic Lift experiences will be limited to 3 hrs
  • A limited amount of season passes are available
  • Season Pass holders do not need reservations

Personal Responsibility

Support our staff and other patrons by doing your part.

  • Stay home if you are not feeling 100% or are exhibiting symptoms of illness
  • Wear your mask in designated areas
  • Adhere to all signage, guidelines and instruction from staff
  • Practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from other individuals not traveling with them throughout the destination
  • Sanitize regularly
  • Respect capacity limits for indoor spaces, including stores and restaurants

Face Masks

Masks will be required in all areas where Physical Distancing can not be achieved. You can expect these areas to be marked as such.

  • Inside Buildings
  • Lift Lines
  • Riding the lift w/ someone you did not travel to Mt Baldy with
  • Gathering Areas

Physical Distancing

  • Line Mazes rearranged
  • Guests will not be required to load chairlifts at full capacity
  • Indoor facilities have been rearranged to promote physical distancing
  • Avoid congregation in common areas when ever possible
  • One In, One Out capacity monitoring will be implemented when necessary
  • Plexiglass has been installed at necessary touch points

Amenities

  • Vulnerable touch points through out the mountain will be sanitized regularly throughout the each day
  • Impromptu rentals and lessons are available for purchase on a first come first serve basis. (Advanced booking is highly suggested)
  • Seating areas have been modified to suit physical distancing
  • Grab & Go as well as cooked to order options are available at counter service concessions
  • F&B staff will be masked & gloved when preparing or serving food & drink
  • Dinning areas may be subject to 30min table turns from the time orders are delivered

Employee Measures

  • Staff will be outfitted with approved PPE to include face covering which will be required to be worn in all required areas and when physical distancing can not be maintained
  • Additional training curriculums have been implemented to improve health standards
  • Daily employee check-ins will include COVID-19 symptom checks
  • Any and all presumed cases of COVID-19 on property will be reported to health authorities
  • All shared equipment will be sanitized throughout shifts
