This policy explains how Mt. Baldy Ski Lifts, Inc. ("Mt Baldy Resort," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit mtbaldyresort.com, fill out a form, contact us, or sign up for our emails or text messages. It applies to visitors wherever they live.

1. Information we collect

• What you give us: your name, email, phone number, and anything you write in a form or message, such as event dates, group size or questions.
• Text and email preferences: whether you agreed to receive texts or emails from us, and when.
• Collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you reached our site, gathered through cookies and similar tools.
• From partners: booking and purchase details when you buy through our ticketing, booking or payment providers.

We don't ask for sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or health details through our website.

2. How we use it

• To answer your inquiry and plan your visit, event or booking.
• To send texts and emails you agreed to, including updates, offers and event news.
• To run, secure and improve our website.
• To meet legal obligations and protect our guests and business.

3. Text messages

If you check a text-message box on our forms, we will text the number you gave us. Inquiry replies and marketing messages are separate choices. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is never a condition of purchase.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:

• With service providers that work for us, such as our customer messaging and website platform, email delivery, payment, booking and analytics providers. They may use it only to provide services to us.
• With the other Mt Baldy businesses that operate together as This is Baldy, when needed to answer your request. Text-message opt-in data is not shared, as stated in section 3.
• When required by law, to protect safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and tools like Google Analytics to understand how our site is used. You can block cookies in your browser; some parts of the site may not work as well. Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, but we do honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing.

6. How long we keep it

We keep contact and inquiry information for as long as we're in touch with you and for a reasonable time after, usually no more than 3 years after your last contact, unless the law requires longer. Opt-out records are kept so we keep honoring them.

• Texts: reply STOP to any message.
• Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Your information: email [email protected] to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

8. California residents

California law gives you the right to:

• Know what personal information we collected, where it came from, why, and who we shared it with.

• Not be treated differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request." We will confirm we got it within 10 business days and answer within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity. You can use an authorized agent with your written permission. Under California's "Shine the Light" law, you can also ask whether we shared your information with others for their direct marketing; we don't.

9. Residents of other states

If you live in a state with its own privacy law, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia or Oregon, you have similar rights to access, correct and delete your information and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale or profiling. Email [email protected] to use them. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.

10. Visitors outside the United States

We are based in California, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you contact us from the UK, the European Union or elsewhere, we use your information to answer your request and, if you agreed, to send you messages. You can ask to access, correct, delete or move your information, or object to its use, by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children

Our website is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

12. Other websites

Our site links to other sites, such as ticketing and booking pages. Their own privacy policies apply there.

13. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure.

14. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we'll post a notice on this site.
