Ski & Ride Baldy

Natural terrain, four chairs and the 75th winter on SoCal's real mountain.

It's summer on Baldy. Ski season starts when the snow does, usually December. Lock in a 75th Anniversary pass now at today's rates.

Four chairs

Chair status is posted every morning on the Mountain Report.

1

Sugar Pine

The gateway to everything. Runs from the base area to Top of the Notch, rentals and the restaurant.

2

The Gulch

Beginner terrain, and your access to Chair 3.

3

Thunder Mountain

Upper mountain terrain on the front side.

4

West Side

The far side. Sun-exposed, so it opens on deep snow years. Pray for snow.

Every night

Fresh corduroy

Our cat drivers work through the night so you get first tracks on fresh corduroy. They post what they groomed, run by run, before the lifts open.

Winter checklist

Baldy is a real mountain with real alpine weather. Come prepared.

Carry chains

Chains may be required on Mt Baldy Road. Check Caltrans before you drive.

Road conditions

Dress for the top

The chair takes you into alpine conditions. Warm layers, hats and boots are essential, especially for kids and older guests.

Park at Chair 1

All parking is at the base of Chair 1. Prepaid parking is discounted, and pass holders park free.

Check the report

Robby posts chair status and conditions every morning before the lifts open.
